Gracie is from Von Hausman Kennels in Ohio (Chuck and Claudia Vaigl Breeders). She is out of one of the last natural breedings of the late BISS CH Silvercreek Remington Steele JH WD.

Her show debut, was in March of 2004 at the American Chesapeake Clubs National Specialty Show in San Diego, CA. She won the six to nine month puppy Sweepstakes class and a respectable third in the six to nine month puppy class. She finished her Championship title in February 2006 by not only winning the open class but also took BOS and earned her third major (four points).

Although Grace has excelled in the show ring, her true love is training and hunting. Grace is the first dog we have campaigned in the hunt test game and after taking a year off, we are now working at earning her JH (she received her HRC Started title in August 2006). Gracie is by far the most serious and focused Chesapeake we have ever owned...she takes training/hunting very, very seriously. However, after a long day in the field she is the first one too jump into bed with her favorite hunting companion, her human Dad.
